What do you do when your teacher won't behave?

School has started in Spruce Valley, and 11-year-old Kieran McAllan's not sure about his teacher. Besides giving strange lectures that have nothing to do with the classes he's supposed to be teaching, Mr. Thompson secretly smokes on the playground, brings his girlfriend into the classroom, and acts like a total weirdo.
